Finova Motors
Hyderabad
Company Description: Finova Motors is dedicated to advancing electric motor technology for high performance, delivering specialized solutions for Satellite and Electic Vehicle applications.
Finova
Motors emphasizes innovation, quality, and efficiency in all its products and development efforts. Team members join a mission-driven environment that is committed to cleaner, more effective motors. The organization offers opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge projects that shape next-generation motor technology.
Role Description: We are looking for an AIT Engineer who owns the complete physical lifecycle of our space products, from pre-build structural and thermal analysis through precision manufacturing, assembly, integration, environmental test campaigns, validation, and handoff to launch service providers. This is not a support role. You will have full ownership of hardware readiness from TRL-3 through TRL-9, with direct responsibility for ensuring every unit that leaves our facility is test-proven and fully documented.
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India (on-site)
Employment Type: Full-time
No of Positions: 1
Starting Date: Sept 1st or earliest Possible.
What You Will Do
1. Translate satellite mission requirements (orbit, pointing accuracy, slew rate, duty cycle) into ADCS/AOCS system-level requirements, torque envelope, angular momentum budget, pointing stability, and agility targets
2. Build and maintain high-fidelity digital twin simulations of spacecraft attitude dynamics, sensors, actuators, and control loops
3. Design, implement, and validate attitude determination and control algorithms (Kalman filtering variants,
control allocation strategies) for Reaction Wheel and CMG applications
4. Run Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) verification campaigns, including Monte Carlo analysis across sensor noise and environmental variability
5. Work with the design analysis and AIT teams to ensure control algorithm assumptions match physical hardware capability, closing the loop between simulated and built performance
6. Support requirements traceability from mission need through ADCS/AOCS specs to product-level Reaction Wheel/CMG parameters
7. Document algorithm design, verification methodology, and performance results in structured technical reports
What We're Looking For
- B.Tech/M.Tech in GNC Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; strong coursework or project work or work experience in orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics, or control theory
- Practical experience with attitude determination/estimation algorithms (EKF, MEKF, UKF, QUEST, or similar)
- Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink for simulation and algorithm development
- Exposure to SIL/HIL testing methodology
- Understanding of spacecraft attitude control actuators (reaction wheels, CMGs, magnetorquers) is a strong plus
- Freshers with a strong thesis, GitHub portfolio, or demonstrated project work in GNC/ADCS are welcome to apply in lieu of industry experience
