The Global Procurement Operations Support role provides analytical, operational, and process governance support across 3M’s procurement organization. This role supports the Procurement Middle Office by providing operational, analytical, reporting, and governance support across global procurement processes.
The position helps ensure smooth execution of key activities such as supplier communications, scorecards, dashboard reporting, cash and payment term initiatives, procurement controls, data quality, contract and PO support, and issue resolution. The role serves as a key connection point between Category Teams, Sourcing, Accounts Payable, Finance, Treasury, Legal, IT, and suppliers to improve process discipline, visibility, savings realization, and working capital outcomes.
At advanced levels, the role is expected to lead more complex work independently, serve as a subject matter expert, drive process improvements, manage escalations, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and help standardize and strengthen procurement operations across regions and categories.

Responsibilities
Candex Program Manager Support
Maintain the program dashboard and support supplier/requester onboarding activities to improve adoption, compliance, and operational visibility.
Strategic Supplier Scorecards
Own and maintain standardized scorecards for selected strategic suppliers; ensure data accuracy, monitor performance trends, and support review cadences and follow-up actions.
Supplier Communication
Manage the communications calendar, prepare and distribute approved supplier messages, and track engagement metrics and follow-up items.
Cash Initiative Support
Handle inbound and outbound queries related to cash initiatives, including payment status, terms, discounts, disputes, and virtual card or supply chain finance inquiries; ensure timely and accurate responses.
CBRE Global Center Requester Support
Act as the central requester for CBRE-related services, create accurate purchase orders per contract and policy requirements, and resolve transaction exceptions.
UNSPSC Code Maintenance
Audit and correct UNSPSC classifications across catalogs and purchase orders; support improved reporting accuracy and category alignment.
Scorecard Creation and Support
Provide support in building, updating, and maintaining Supplier scorecards; help resolve related issues and improve reporting quality and usability.
Global SAP Overdue Direct PO Closure Process
Run overdue PO reports, coordinate with sites and buyers on required actions, and support closure or correction of purchase orders with regular status tracking.
Process Improvement
Support or lead process improvement and standardization initiatives within the global procurement support function.
Service Optimization
Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and ensure outcomes are aligned with customer requirements.
Projects and Ad-Hoc Support
Take on ad-hoc assignments or projects delegated by the Supervisor as needed.

Improvement in data quality, workflow compliance, and operational process execution.
Support of working capital and savings initiatives through payment terms, discount capture, and recovery actions.
Reduction in process exceptions, unresolved issues, and transaction cycle time.
Effective coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve operational issues and improve outcomes.
Required Qualifications Experience working across global or cross-functional teams preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field For Analyst level: typically 0-2 years of experience in procurement, data operations, or business support.
For Senior Analyst level: typically 2-4 years of experience in procurement operations or data management.
For Specialist level: typically 4-6 years of experience in procurement, shared services, or process improvement roles
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and identify actionable improvements
Experience with reporting, dashboard creation, or performance tracking
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent platforms
Experience using advanced Excel and/or data visualization tools such as Power BI
Proven experience in analytics-driven process enhancement or service optimization
Experience supporting global Back Office or procurement support operations
Demonstrated participation in continuous improvement, globalization, or standardization initiatives

At Senior Analyst and Specialist levels, ability to lead or influence process standardization and continuous improvement actions.
Responsibility to escalate complex issues and seek guidance from leadership or subject matter experts when needed.
