The Agentic

Loop also runs hands-on programs, such as the Production GenAI Engineering Program, to help people move from following AI trends to building real systems. It serves students, builders, founders, leaders, and anyone curious about the coming “agent age.” Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Generative AI Engineer at The Agentic Loop. The Generative AI Engineer will design, build, and iterate on agentic and generative AI systems, including prototypes, production-ready tools, and internal workflows.

Day-to-day work includes experimenting with frontier models and APIs, creating robust prompts and agent architectures, integrating AI components into applications, and instrumenting systems for reliability, safety, and performance. The role also involves collaborating on educational content, demos, and example projects that help the community understand and apply generative AI, as well as contributing technical insight to articles, programs, and live sessions. The engineer will work closely with founders,



educators, and contributors to turn emerging AI capabilities into practical, usable solutions for learners and practitioners.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in software engineering, including proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript) and experience building and maintaining production-grade applications or tools.

Hands-on experience with generative AI and LLMs, including working with major model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source LLMs), prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and orchestration tools.

Knowledge of ML/AI concepts such as model evaluation, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and techniques for monitoring and improving model outputs.

Ability to design and implement agentic workflows, including tool calling, multi-step reasoning, error handling, and safeguards around reliability, safety, and user experience.

Comfort with modern development practices: version control (Git), testing, documentation, CI/CD, and deployment to common cloud or hosting environments.

Clear, concise communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in accessible language and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
