About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Transmission Projects to lead and manage our Transmission Project operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical and managerial expertise in EHV Transmission Line and Substation EPC projects, particularly projects executed for Government Power Utilities / DISCOMs / TRANSCOs.

The candidate will be responsible for overall project planning, execution, monitoring, commercial coordination, client management, resource management, and timely completion of transmission projects while ensuring quality, safety, and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide overall leadership for Transmission EPC Projects, including EHV transmission lines and substations.
- Take complete responsibility for project execution, progress, quality, cost, and timely completion.
- Develop project execution strategies, schedules, manpower plans, material requirements, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress against approved BOQ, milestones, DPR, PERT/CPM schedules, and contractual timelines.
- Coordinate with State Transmission Utilities, DISCOMs, PGCIL, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Lead project review meetings with clients, consultants, site teams, contractors, and internal management.
- Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure timely availability and utilization of materials, manpower, machinery, and subcontractors.
- Review and monitor RA Bills, measurement books, quantity reconciliation, variation statements, extra items, and client billing.
- Coordinate with the Contracts and Commercial teams regarding claims, variations, extensions of time,



LD matters, and contractual issues.
- Ensure proper coordination between Head Office and Project/Site Teams.
- Monitor project profitability, cost control, project budgets, and cash-flow requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with approved quality standards, HSE requirements, statutory regulations, and client specifications.
- Guide and mentor Project Managers, Deputy Project Managers, Site Engineers, Planning Engineers, Billing Engineers, and other project personnel.
- Review project MIS, DPRs, monthly progress reports, financial performance, and management dashboards.
- Resolve technical, commercial, manpower, vendor, subcontractor, and client-related issues.
- Ensure proper documentation and project handover upon completion.
- Drive project performance, productivity, and operational excellence across all transmission projects.

Eligibility & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 15–20 years of relevant experience in Power Transmission / EPC / Infrastructure Projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership position managing large transmission projects.
- Strong experience in EHV Transmission Line / Substation project execution.
- Experience in handling multiple projects/sites simultaneously will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience working with Government Power Utilities, State TRANSCOs, DISCOMs, PGCIL, or similar organizations will be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project contracts, commercial matters, billing, claims, and project documentation.
- Proven ability to lead large project teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
