About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager – Operations to lead and oversee end-to-end operational functions within our pharmaceutical export business. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence across export operations, supply chain, logistics, finance, compliance, IT, human resources, and administration while ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainable business growth in international markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead overall business operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage pharmaceutical export operations, including documentation, customs compliance, DGFT requirements, and international trade processes.
- Oversee production planning, inventory control (PPIC), supply chain, warehousing, logistics, and distribution to ensure uninterrupted product availability.
- Drive commercial negotiations with manufacturers, suppliers, logistics partners, and strategic business partners.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, Companies Act, ROC, labour laws, and pharmaceutical export regulations.
- Lead budgeting, financial planning, cost control, audit coordination, internal controls, and operational reporting.
- Oversee IT operations, digital transformation initiatives, cybersecurity, vendor management, and business systems.
- Provide strategic leadership to cross-functional teams across Operations, Finance, HR, IT, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Administration.
- Develop and implement operational policies, KPIs,



governance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to support business continuity and growth.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate/professional qualification preferred.
- Significant senior management experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, pharmaceutical exports, healthcare, or another regulated manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical export regulations, DGFT, customs procedures, international trade documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience managing operations, supply chain, logistics, finance, PPIC, IT, HR, and administration.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial management, audit coordination, internal controls, and statutory compliance.
- Strong commercial negotiation, leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
