MAKE AN IMPACT
We are seeking a talented and people driven Director – HR, FGSI to join our Human Resources team at Fossil Group in Bangalore, GBS. If you are passionate about strategic people leadership and enjoy shaping high-performing organizations through talent, culture, and organizational transformation, this could be the perfect role for you. In this agile and global company, you will serve as a strategic partner to the FGSI leadership team, enabling business performance through an engaged, capable, and future-ready workforce.
This is a hybrid position based in our Bangalore office. You will be required to work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director & Head of HR – India.
What you will do in this role
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
Lead the implementation of the people strategy for FGSI, translating business priorities into targeted HR interventions and measurable outcomes.
Partner with the FGSI leadership team on organization structure, workforce planning, capability requirements, and strategic people decisions.
Assess external HR trends and evolving people practices to identify opportunities that strengthen organizational effectiveness.
Advise leaders on organization design, talent priorities, employee engagement, and people-related business decisions.
Culture, Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness
Shape a high-performance culture that reflects Fossil Group’s values and enables empowered, accountable leadership.
Act as a change agent, leading people and organizational change initiatives through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
Strengthen leadership capability and build a strong, connected FGSI leadership team.
Foster an inclusive environment with fair, consistent, and effective employee and workplace relations practices.
Talent, Performance & Capability
Drive talent management, succession planning, and workforce capability strategies aligned with FGSI’s business objectives.
Identify current and future capability gaps and develop strategies to build, develop, or acquire critical talent.
Partner with global, regional, and local HR teams to strengthen talent quality, organization effectiveness, and leadership pipelines.
Build strong talent pipelines and engagement strategies to attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent.
Total Rewards, HR Operations & Transformation
Oversee the development and implementation of competitive compensation, benefits, reward, and recognition practices aligned with local requirements.
Partner with relevant teams on HRIS implementation, people analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
Ensure effective implementation of HR policies, processes, and principles while maintaining strong operational delivery and compliance.
Lead learning and organizational development initiatives that build capabilities and support continuous improvement.
Drive HR projects and change initiatives across a matrixed, global environment, ensuring effective execution and sustainable outcomes.
Who You Are
MBA or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
16+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a multinational organization and Global Business Services/Captive Centre environment.
Proven experience operating in a senior HR leadership capacity such as HR Director or Senior HR Manager.
Strong track record in strategic HR business partnering across multiple functions and business lines within a global organization.
Demonstrated expertise across organization design, talent management, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, and HR transformation.
Solid knowledge of HR processes, employment practices, compliance requirements, and workplace relations.
Experience leading change management and HR projects within complex, matrixed organizations.
Strong leadership, influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior business leaders and global HR teams.
