About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Functional Test Lead with deep domain expertise in Banking, Lending, Cards, and Payments. The ideal candidate will lead functional testing efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality delivery of financial applications. This role demands strong hands-on experience in ISO8583 message formats, VTS, Mastercard simulators, and clearing/base II file processing, along with proficiency in Linux environments and GUI testing.

What will you be doing?

Lead end-to-end functional testing across banking and payment systems, ensuring seamless execution across all phases.

Define comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with project objectives and delivery timelines.

Ensure complete test coverage including functional, integration, regression, and UAT cycles.

Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide actionable testing insights.

Collaborate with development teams to align on test scenarios, defect tracking, and resolution.

Provide regular status updates to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Apply strong domain expertise in Banking, Lending, Cards,



and Payments to validate business workflows.

Work with ISO8583 messaging, simulators (VTS, Mastercard), and clearing/Base II processes for transaction validation and reconciliation.

Perform hands-on testing in Linux and GUI environments, while ensuring quality through test reviews and continuous process improvement. Who are you?

10+ years of experience in functional testing within Banking and Payments domains, delivering reliable and high-quality solutions.

Strong expertise in ISO8583 messaging, VTS and Mastercard simulators, and file-based transaction processing.

Proficient in Linux command-line operations, including troubleshooting, log analysis, and script execution.

Hands-on experience in GUI testing using tools such as Selenium, UFT, or similar automation/testing frameworks.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration across teams.

Proven leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior testers and managing testing activities effectively.

Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with added advantages such as ISTQB certification, automation framework experience, and exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
