Role Description The Full Stack Developer Intern – AI & Product Engineering role at Umamicasa is a remote internship focused on supporting the design, development, testing, and deployment of modern web applications and AI-powered products.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Building responsive and interactive front-end interfaces
- Developing application functionality across the full stack
- Working with React and TypeScript
- Integrating APIs and databases
- Working with Supabase and modern web technologies
- Integrating AI/LLM APIs and AI-powered features
- Troubleshooting and debugging application issues
- Testing features and improving application reliability
- Collaborating with developers and the founder/team on product requirements
- Participating in UI/UX implementation and product discussions




- Using Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development
- Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
- Contributing to documentation and development best practices
- Supporting deployment and iteration of real product features

This role provides hands-on exposure to the complete software development lifecycle, from product idea and development to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement .

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills , including a good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development.
- Candidates should possess basic Full-Stack Development skills , including an understanding of application architecture, APIs, databases, and integration between front-end and back-end components.
- Candidates should have familiarity with or interest in React, TypeScript, Vite, TanStack, Supabase, Tailwind CSS, and REST APIs .
- Candidates should have an interest in Artificial Intelligence and AI-powered applications , including LLM APIs, AI integrations, and AI agents.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Git/GitHub , basic debugging, testing, and software development practices.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn .
- Candidates should be comfortable understanding existing codebases, troubleshooting issues, asking questions, and taking ownership of assigned development tasks.
- Candidates should be able to work effectively in a remote and team-oriented environment .
- Relevant coursework or projects in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields are beneficial.
- Personal projects, GitHub repositories, deployed applications, or prior experience building web or AI projects are a plus.
