Freelance ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert

Summary

We are seeking an experienced freelance Subject Matter Expert to lead technical evaluations for ServiceNow professionals across various modules, including ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, and platform development. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality of our candidate pipeline by conducting rigorous, structured interviews and delivering comprehensive, data-driven assessments. The expert will serve as a critical gatekeeper, verifying technical competencies, validating certifications, and providing actionable insights that guide hiring decisions for both internal teams and clients.

Additionally, this position contributes to organizational growth by helping non-technical stakeholders build foundational ServiceNow knowledge while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

Execute comprehensive technical interviews tailored to specific candidate backgrounds and relevant ServiceNow modules.

Utilize and continuously refine a structured evaluation framework to assess platform proficiency, scripting capabilities, and problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios.

Generate detailed, professional written reports and ratings for every candidate, ensuring the feedback is clear, fair, and suitable for both internal review and client presentation.





Authenticate all claimed ServiceNow certifications to maintain the integrity of the hiring process.

Translate assessment outcomes into defined candidate skill tiers to assist in strategic hiring decisions.

Perform ad-hoc technical evaluations for candidates sourced by external partners when required.

Develop and update internal training resources to enhance baseline ServiceNow literacy among non-technical staff.

Strictly safeguard all candidate information, assessment methodologies, and sensitive business data in accordance with confidentiality protocols. Requirements

Possess over 15 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow, gained through implementation, consulting, or architectural roles.

Demonstrate deep expertise in platform scripting (Glide, Business Rules, Script Includes, ATF), Flow Designer, and integration patterns (IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs).

Bring prior experience in interviewing, mentoring, or technically assessing other ServiceNow professionals.

Exhibit exceptional written communication skills capable of producing transparent, structured, and unbiased feedback under tight deadlines.

Be self-motivated and capable of working independently on a flexible freelance basis to meet defined turnaround times.
