What we're building Inner Labs helps brands show up better on AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini. We work with enterprise brands and for most of them, we run the actual execution across content, community, and distribution. Not just the dashboard.
We're bootstrapped, 10 months in market, growing rapid, and we've reached the point where the founder cannot personally run every client relationship. That's why this role exists. The role You'll own our enterprise client portfolio end-to-end.
This is a client-facing role where you become the primary relationship for our biggest accounts. You'll run their strategy, their calls, their reporting, and their outcomes. This is not a sales role. It's not a strategy consulting role.
It's an account leadership role for enterprise B2B marketing services, in a category that didn't exist 18 months ago. You'll be our first business hire outside the founder. What you build here shapes how Inner Labs runs client relationships for the next several years.
What you'll actually do
Own client relationships end-to-end. Bi-weekly strategy calls with CMOs and heads of marketing. Weekly updates. Escalation handling. Quarterly reviews. You're the person they call when something matters.
Translate our work into business outcomes for them. You'll pull citation data, content performance, and community activity into narratives that make sense to CMOs. Not just "we did X." "Here's what moved, here's what it means for your business, here's what we're doing next."
Design and defend strategy. Every client gets a documented strategy that answers what we're tracking, why, what we're testing, and what success looks like. You own that strategy. You defend it in the room. You update it every 30 days based on data.
Coordinate execution across the team. Content, Reddit, community, and product all feed into each client. You're the person who briefs the team, keeps them aligned,
and closes the loop back to the client.
Own retention and expansion. Client renewals, scope expansions, and cross-sell into new services all flow through you. You'll work directly with the founder on pricing and commercial decisions. Build the account management function.
Playbooks. Templates. Cadences. Onboarding processes. What you build becomes how we manage every future client. Who we're looking for You probably have: 2-5 years of account management experience at a services company, consultancy, marketing agency, ad platform, or B2B SaaS company.
You've handled escalations. You've defended strategy against pushback from senior client stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal English. Client-facing at enterprise scale requires polish. You're comfortable in a meeting with a CMO, and you can write a strategy memo they'll take seriously.
A working understanding of how modern marketing measurement works. You don't need AEO experience because almost no one has it. You do need to understand marketing attribution, content performance, distribution channels, and how brands evaluate ROI. You should be curious about how AI is changing discovery and hungry to go deep.
Comfort with data experimentation. Our work is inherently experimental. New prompts, new content types, new distribution approaches. You should be someone who reads dashboards, forms hypotheses, and helps design tests. Not someone who wants a settled playbook.
Operational discipline. You'll run 5-8 enterprise accounts simultaneously.
Each needs its own cadence, its own strategy, its own reporting. Chaos in your calendar leads to churned clients. We need someone who runs a tight operational rhythm.
Startup speed and adaptability. We're not an established consultancy. Processes are being built. Client conversations sometimes require calling audibles. You should have real appetite for ambiguity and building things, not managing established systems.
You'll have exposure to sales and business development, but the core work is client management. In this category, almost nothing is settled. You'll be building the playbook, not executing one. This is real operator work with enterprise clients. Not decks. Not frameworks. Actual weekly execution. How we hire A short call with the founder. 30-45 minutes.
A work task. Real strategic exercise on an anonymized client situation. Should take 2-3 hours.
A follow-up conversation walking through your task and going deeper on your background.
A reference check.
Offer within 10 days of the follow-up conversation. We move fast. The whole process takes 1 - 2 weeks for the right person. Competitive compensation + Equity in the company. Vested over 4 years with a 1-year cliff. Actual number depends on level and negotiated at offer stage. Performance bonuses tied to client retention, expansion, and satisfaction. Structure discussed at offer stage.
