Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Associate - Fixed Income to support the credit research, underwriting, investment evaluation, and portfolio monitoring activities of the Fixed Income team.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 0-1 year of experience to build expertise in fixed income markets, credit analysis, investment research, and portfolio risk management while working closely with experienced investment professionals. Key Responsibilities

Credit

Research & Underwriting Support

Assist in conducting credit analysis of issuers across fixed income investment opportunities

Analyze financial statements, business performance, cash flows, and leverage metrics

Support preparation of credit notes, investment summaries, and underwriting reports

Help gather and analyze information related to issuer performance, industry trends, and market developments

Assist the team in developing downside scenarios and basic credit risk assessments

Investment

Evaluation & Execution Support

Participate in evaluating bonds, NCDs, structured credit opportunities, and other fixed income products

Support transaction due diligence by collecting and organizing relevant financial and operational information

Review term sheets, covenant structures, and offering documents under supervision

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support deal execution activities

Portfolio

Monitoring & Risk Management

Monitor the financial and operational performance of portfolio companies

Track covenant compliance, rating actions, and key credit developments

Prepare periodic portfolio monitoring reports and issuer updates

Support identification of early warning signals and emerging risks

Assist in maintaining investment and credit databases

- Market & Industry Research

Track developments in fixed income and credit markets

Conduct research on sectors, companies,



and macroeconomic trends affecting credit quality

Prepare industry updates, market summaries, and research reports

Monitor interest rates, liquidity conditions, and credit spread movements

- Data Analytics & Reporting

Assist in preparing portfolio dashboards, investment trackers, and analytical reports

Support financial modelling and credit analysis exercises

Help maintain research repositories and investment documentation

Leverage technology and AI-based tools to improve research efficiency and information gathering

- Client & Investment Team Support

Assist in preparing client presentations and investment materials

Support senior team members in creating investment recommendations and portfolio reviews

Contribute to investment committee presentations and research discussions

Help translate research findings into clear and concise investment insights

Assisting in monitoring fund liquidity positions and supporting cash flow planning for fixed income funds Academic Qualification & Experience

MBA/Postgraduate in Finance, or equivalent qualification

0-1 year of experience or internship exposure in fixed income, credit analysis, investment research, wealth management, banking, NBFCs, rating agencies, or financial services

Strong academic background with an interest in capital markets and fixed income investing Knowledge, Competencies & Skills

Curiosity, ownership mindset, and willingness to learn

Foundational understanding of financial statements and credit analysis concepts

Basic knowledge of fixed income markets and debt instruments

Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude

Interest in learning credit underwriting and investment evaluation

Good written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar financial databases is an added advantage

Ability to work collaboratively in a rapid-paced investment environment .
