About The Role The Business Partner and Functional Expert role at Oracle is designed to serve as a vital link between financial planning, analysis, and business operations. This position involves providing detailed analysis and strategic decision-making support to key stakeholders, facilitating the development of future business strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sales processes, expenses management, and end-to-end system workflows, enabling them to translate complex business requirements into actionable insights.
This role offers an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, drive impactful initiatives, and contribute to Oracle’s ongoing growth and efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities As a Business Partner and Functional Expert, your responsibilities will include acting as a co-pilot to business units, providing dedicated and end-to-end support for specific areas. You will liaise with Global Business Functions (GBF), Business Operations, and other organizational units to review forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in defining and implementing organizational changes, such as SCOA (Standard Chart of Accounts) adjustments, to optimize financial reporting and analysis.
You will actively participate in Global Process Optimization (GPO) initiatives and projects, contributing your insights to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Translating vague or ad hoc business requirements into comprehensive analyses will be a key aspect of your role, involving scenario building for long-term planning and competitive analysis. You will interpret business needs, develop tailored solutions, and effectively communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
Understanding key business drivers and defining relevant KPIs will be central to your responsibilities. You will review and update KPIs regularly to reflect changing business dynamics and ensure they provide meaningful insights. Driving discussions, consolidating viewpoints, and summarizing positions will be essential skills, especially when substituting for Finance Business Partners during their absence.
Additionally, you will lead and own critical initiatives, providing periodic updates and course corrections to ensure project success. Beyond core responsibilities, you will champion standardization and automation efforts to improve operational efficiency. Mentoring analysts and designing training programs will help build a high-performing team.
Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement, sharing best practices, and proposing innovative solutions will be integral to your role, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess an MBA, CA, CIMA, or CMA qualification,
demonstrating a strong foundation in financial management and analysis. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) is required, with a proven track record of supporting strategic decision-making in dynamic business environments. Essential skills include proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, advanced MS-Office capabilities, and a solid understanding of ERP and CRM systems.
The candidate should demonstrate a performance-driven mindset, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to inspire teams and stakeholders. Adaptability to change, comfort with complexity, and a competitive edge in problem-solving are highly valued traits.
