Role Description The Field Services Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment at customer locations. Daily tasks include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, and providing timely technical support to ensure minimal equipment downtime. The role involves coordinating with internal teams for spare parts and service documentation, completing service reports, and following established quality and safety procedures.

The Field Services





Engineer interacts regularly with customers to explain equipment operation, address service concerns, and ensure a professional, customer-focused experience. Occasional travel within the region may be required to support multiple client sites.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Field Service and Preventive Maintenance skills to handle installations, routine checks, and equipment upkeep.

Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and resolve equipment-related problems.

Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with users, manage expectations, and provide professional in office support.

Diploma or degree in engineering (biomedical, electronics, instrumentation, or related field) or equivalent practical experience in medical equipment servicing.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics, with good documentation and reporting skills.

Comfort working in clinical or hospital environments, adhering to safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Strong time management skills, willingness to travel locally, and capability to work independently and as part of a team.

Prior experience servicing ophthalmic or other medical devices is an advantage.
