FF&E; Project Designer – Educational & Institutional Spaces

ABOUT THE ROLE

F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced FF&E; Project Designer to support educational and institutional projects, including K-12 schools, higher education facilities, libraries, labs, and other learning environments.

You’ll design furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E;) packages, translate architectural concepts into detailed layouts, create AutoCAD drawings and 3D visualizations, specify furniture and finishes, and help present design concepts to clients and project stakeholders.

This is a full-time, remote role based in India. You’ll primarily work India business hours, with some overlap into U.S. Eastern Time for client calls.

IMPORTANT: This role requires real FF&E; project design experience in educational or institutional environments. General commercial or residential furniture experience alone is not sufficient.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Design FF&E; packages for educational and institutional spaces
- Translate architectural concepts into explicit, presentation-ready layouts
- Produce AutoCAD 2D drawings and 3D models/visualizations
- Specify furniture and equipment using specialist FF&E; software such as Giza 2020, CAP/CET, or Configura
- Select fabrics, finishes, and materials aligned with the architectural design
- Develop and present design concepts to school administrators and other stakeholders




- Coordinate with internal sales and project teams throughout the project lifecycle

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- 3–5 years of FF&E; project design experience in educational or institutional environments
- Strong proficiency with FF&E; specification software such as Giza 2020, CAP/CET, or Configura
- Strong AutoCAD 2D drafting skills
- Experience producing 3D models and visualizations
- Experience selecting furniture, fabrics, finishes, and materials based on an architectural concept
- Strong presentation and client communication skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively with internal sales and project teams
- Availability to work India business hours with overlap into U.S. Eastern Time when needed

NICE TO HAVE

- Interior design experience in commercial or residential environments
- Custom furniture or millwork design experience
- Experience creating client-facing presentations and pitch decks
- Knowledge of architectural concepts and building codes for educational facilities
- Familiarity with K-12 or higher-education facility standards
- Vendor and procurement coordination experience
