Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager – AI Transformation / Applied AI Engineering to lead engineering teams building enterprise-grade AI solutions.

The role combines people leadership, hands-on architecture, coding, stakeholder management and delivery ownership. The ideal candidate should have a strong software engineering foundation, experience building applications, excellent architecture skills and proven experience delivering AI/ML/GenAI solutions in production.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and guide software, data, ML and full-stack engineering teams.

Contribute to architecture and system design for AI-powered applications.

Design and deliver GenAI, LLM, RAG, agentic AI and enterprise AI solutions.

Partner with Product Managers, business stakeholders, architects, data teams and governance teams.

Translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans.

Own engineering execution across design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and production support.

Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and cost-efficient.

Drive engineering best practices, code quality, design reviews, CI/CD, observability and documentation.

Manage stakeholder communication, delivery risks, dependencies and technical trade-offs.





Drive reusable AI components, engineering accelerators and AI development practices.

Required Experience

15–18 years of total engineering experience.

9–12 years of relevant engineering/software leadership experience.

Strong hands-on software development and application-building experience.

Strong architecture and system design background.

Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on AI/ML/GenAI experience.

Minimum 2–3 years of people management experience.

Experience delivering AI/ML/GenAI/LLM/RAG/automation solutions in production.

Robust knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, microservices, DevOps and CI/CD.

Experience working with cross-functional Product, Business, Architecture, Security, Data and Platform teams.

Organization Background – Important

Product / Startup organization experience is strongly preferred.

Prefer candidates with 10+ years of startup/product organization experience within the last 15 years.

Do not consider profiles primarily from service organizations such as Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc.

Non-banking / non-fintech backgrounds preferred.

Indian fintech/product organizations such as Razorpay or Zeta may be considered.

Oracle, RBS and EY backgrounds are not preferred.
