Job Summary Ambica Steels Ltd. is seeking a energetic and result-oriented production cum quality engineer for its Bright Bar Division. The incumbent will be responsible for managing production operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards, monitoring process parameters, reducing rejections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence. Job Responsibilities Plan, monitor, and execute daily production activities as per the production schedule.

Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and resources to achieve production targets.

Monitor Bright Bar manufacturing processes, including peeling, drawing, straightening, grinding, polishing, cutting, and packing.

Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process control plans.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime and improve equipment availability.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

Drive productivity improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects.





Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

Monitor critical quality parameters such as dimensions, straightness, surface finish, hardness, and mechanical properties.

Ensure proper use and calibration of measuring instruments.

Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and internal rejections through root cause analysis.

Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring quality concerns.

Maintain inspection records, test certificates, and traceability documentation.

Support internal and external quality audits.Educational Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, production engineering, or a related discipline.Experience 2–4 years of experience in production and quality functions within the bright bar, stainless steel, alloy steel, special steel, or metal processing industry.

- Experience in Bright Bar manufacturing operations will be highly preferred.
