Pratt & Whitney is seeking methods development engineer in our Systems, Data science & Methods team at the Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) in Bengaluru India. The role will span working with engine module centers and systems engineering teams to develop various tools & methods automation. Main responsibilities include automation of various engineering processes, their validation to improve on engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Learn the current processes,
methods & support the automation of engineering workflows.
Understand the standard work processes, apply them for development till deployment.
Prepare, maintain, or update documentation of methods and tools
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Exhibit the project ownership for the defined milestones in terms of schedules & quality of deliverables.
Work with customers to define requirements and trouble shoot issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (with 4+ yr experience) or Advanced degree (with 2+ yr experience) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Basic understanding of structural design tools (Ansys, NX, Teamcenter, Hypermesh).
Coding skills in Python, C, C++.
Finite Element Modeling and Analysis (Static & Dynamics, Aero-thermal) experience.
Good communication skills and working as a team player.
Strong learner and provide creative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications: Background in Mechanical design, Aero-thermal, Geometric modeling
Strong proficiency in Python
Familiarity with SCRUM and Agile project management methodologies
Experience with GitHub, JIRA or other code management and product management software
Ability to interface with customers (internal & external)
