Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Doctor role based in Kolkata. The Doctor will provide high-quality in-home medical care, including conducting physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatment, and monitoring patient progress.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating with nurses and allied health professionals, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The Doctor will also educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up requirements, while collaborating with the wider Portea team to deliver integrated,



patient-centered services.

Qualifications

Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and current registration with the appropriate medical council.

Clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or related specialties, preferably with exposure to home healthcare.

Strong skills in patient examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of common acute and chronic conditions.

Ability to communicate medical information clearly and empathetically to patients and caregivers.

Commitment to patient safety, adherence to clinical guidelines, and maintenance of detailed medical documentation.

Capability to work independently in home-care settings while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Willingness to travel within Kolkata to visit patients and flexibility to work rotational shifts as required.

Basic proficiency with digital health records and mobile health applications; familiarity with teleconsultation is an advantage.

Fluency in English and local languages used in Kolkata is beneficial.

Prior experience in community health, home visits, or geriatric care will be considered an added advantage.
