QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY

- MBBS from a recognised institution along with a postgraduate qualification in the relevant speciality: MD / MS / DNB or a recognised Diploma.
- For super-speciality positions: DM / MCh / DrNB or an equivalent recognised super-speciality qualification or Fellowship in the relevant field.
- Valid and current registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the respective State Medical Council.
- Experience: freshly qualified specialists are welcome for Consultant positions; five years or more of post-postgraduate experience is preferred for Senior Consultant and ten years or more for Head of Department level positions.
- Willingness to commit to fixed evening OPD days and timings on a regular and punctual basis.
- Doctors in government service, medical colleges or with an established daytime practice are welcome to apply, subject to the applicable permission or NOC.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

- Strong clinical acumen with up-to-date, evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and empathetic patient-counselling skills; fluency in Hindi and English.
- Ethical and transparent practice with rational prescribing and judicious use of investigations.
- Team orientation and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Comfort with EMR / HIS software, digital prescriptions and basic computer use.

- Conduct the allotted evening OPD punctually and consult, examine, diagnose and treat patients of your speciality.
- Advise investigations rationally, interpret reports and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, complete and legible clinical records / EMR entries for every consultation.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding the diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, approximate cost and preventive care.
- Refer and coordinate appropriately for cross-speciality opinion, admission, day-care procedures and surgery.
- Perform minor diagnostic and therapeutic OPD procedures relevant to your speciality.
- Provide follow-up care and continuity of treatment for OPD patients, including tele-consultation wherever required.
- Support IPD rounds, emergency and cross-referral consultations, day-care work and elective procedures or surgeries as per speciality and mutual agreement.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, standard treatment guidelines, infection control practices, antibiotic stewardship and all medico-legal and documentation requirements.
- Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, CMEs, academic sessions, health talks, screening camps and community outreach activities.
- Guide and mentor junior doctors, residents, nursing and paramedical staff.
- Support quality, patient safety and accreditation (NABH) initiatives and help improve patient satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to build integrated, multi-disciplinary care pathways for the evening OPD.
