Role Description The Director – Legal and Systems Audit is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading legal oversight and systems audit initiatives across HR and workforce-related processes. The role involves reviewing and interpreting applicable laws and regulations, assessing legal risks, and advising internal and external stakeholders on employment and workforce compliance. The Director will design and execute systems audits to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, policies, and procedures, and will recommend improvements to reduce legal exposure and operational risk.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing contract reviews, supporting mergers and acquisitions from a legal and compliance perspective,



overseeing dispute advisory matters, and ensuring alignment of HR and workforce systems with regulatory requirements. The role also requires mentoring team members, collaborating with cross-functional leaders, and preparing clear, well-structured reports and presentations for senior management and clients.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Law, with practical experience handling Legal Issues in HR, workforce, or employment contexts.

Demonstrated expertise in Legal Compliance, including regulatory interpretation, policy development, and compliance monitoring.

Proficiency in Contract Management, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and risk assessment of commercial and employment-related contracts.

Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A;), particularly legal due diligence, documentation review, and integration-related compliance.

Advanced skills in legal risk assessment, systems audit methodologies, and internal control evaluation.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication abilities, with robust attention to detail.

Proven leadership experience, including managing legal or compliance teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

Relevant professional degree in law (LLB or equivalent); advanced legal or compliance certifications are an advantage.

Experience in advisory, consulting, or professional services environments, preferably with exposure to employment and dispute advisory.
