About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Email Marketing Executive to manage and develop email marketing activities for our academic and scientific journals. The ideal candidate should have experience in email campaigns, database management, email communication, and digital marketing.

The role will focus on increasing journal visibility, promoting published articles and new issues, engaging authors and researchers, and supporting manuscript submissions through effective and ethical email marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, create, and execute professional email marketing campaigns for academic journals.
- Promote new journal issues, recently published articles, special issues, calls for papers, and editorial announcements.
- Develop and maintain relevant email databases of researchers, authors, academicians, institutions, and other legitimate professional contacts.
- Manage email campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp, Brevo, SendGrid, or similar tools.
- Prepare attractive and qualified email templates with appropriate subject lines and calls to action.
- Monitor campaign performance, including open rate, click-through rate, bounce rate, and unsubscribe rate.
- Conduct A/B testing of subject lines, content, and campaign formats to improve engagement.
- Maintain proper email-list hygiene and ensure compliance with applicable anti-spam and data-protection requirements.
- Coordinate with editorial and publishing teams to obtain accurate journal and article information.




- Track campaign results and prepare periodic performance reports.
- Research relevant academic audiences and identify appropriate channels for journal promotion.
- Support the development of long-term email marketing strategies for increasing journal readership, authorship, and visibility.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role preferred.
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Brevo, SendGrid, HubSpot, or equivalent.
- Good written English and strong communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/email template formatting is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze campaign statistics and prepare reports.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized mailing databases.
- Experience working with academic publishing, scientific journals, research institutions, or scholarly communication will be an advantage.
