Kidjig Technologies is hiring a Design Intern to work on design across our own products and our client projects. This is a remote internship, open to candidates anywhere in India.

It starts at 2 months. We are hiring this role with the long term in mind, so the internship is extended based on the work you do, and a full-time role with us is on the table for the right person.

This is a generalist role, and we are saying that up front. You will move between product design and marketing design in the same week. If you want to specialise in only one of them, this role will frustrate you.

PRODUCT DESIGN

- Mobile app screens and user flows for iOS and Android
- Websites and landing pages
- Design systems: components, states, spacing, the unglamorous parts that keep a product consistent
- Working directly with the founder and the developers, with no layers in between

MARKETING DESIGN

- Short-form video for Instagram and YouTube
- Carousels, static posts and ad creative
- App store screenshots, launch assets and brand collateral

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- A portfolio. College work, personal projects and self-initiated redesigns all count. We care that you made it, not that a client paid for it.
- Working knowledge of Figma
- A video editing tool of your choice, and comfort using AI tools where they speed you up
- Someone who can take a rough brief, ask the two or three questions that matter, and return a first version
- Someone who takes hard feedback well and comes back with a better version
- Transparent written communication, since we work remotely

You do not need a design degree and you do not need agency experience.





NICE TO HAVE

- Motion design or animation
- An eye for typography that holds up on a small screen
- Any experience designing for a subscription app or a paywall

WHERE THIS CAN GO

- The 2 months are a starting point, not the whole plan
- We review at the end of month 2, and the internship is extended based on the work
- A full-time role with us is on the table for the right person, and that is how we would like this to end
- Your scope widens as you show you can handle more, instead of staying on repetitive work
- We are small and growing, so there is real room to grow into owning design across our products
