About the Role

We are looking for a Data Privacy Associate to join our team and work closely with clients on data privacy, compliance, and CyberGRC initiatives.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands privacy law and wants to build practical expertise across India’s DPDP Act, GDPR, and information security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct DPDP Act compliance assessments and gap assessments for clients
- Support implementation of DPDP compliance programs, policies, processes, and documentation
- Assist with Data Mapping, RoPA, Consent Management, Data Principal Rights, Grievance Management and Vendor/Third-Party Risk
- Research and interpret developments under the DPDP Act & Rules, GDPR, and other applicable privacy regulations
- Support clients with privacy policies, notices, consent language, contractual clauses and other privacy documentation
- Work on ISO 27001 compliance and information security governance activities
- Assist in audits, risk assessments, evidence collection and compliance reporting
- Collaborate with technology, cybersecurity, legal and business teams
- Use Complynz’s AI-powered compliance platform to automate and streamline privacy and GRC workflows

What We’re Looking For

Must have

- LLB / LLM or equivalent law degree




- Robust understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act
- Working knowledge of GDPR
- Understanding of ISO 27001 / Information Security Management Systems
- Strong legal research, documentation and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand technology and translate regulatory requirements into practical business requirements

- This is a full-time position
- Candidates must be available to work full-time
- Candidates currently pursuing any degree/course are not eligible
- Fresh graduates with strong knowledge of DPDP/GDPR/ISO 27001 are welcome to apply

Good to Have

- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, ISO 27001
- Experience in privacy consulting, compliance, cybersecurity, GRC or legal advisory
- Exposure to ROPA, DPIA, TPRM, Consent Management or Data Discovery
- Familiarity with SaaS, cloud environments and technology contracts
