Role Description The Head Chef at The Adda Co. is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata. The Head Chef will lead daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, recipe development, cost control, and consistent execution of dishes that reflect the brand’s cozy and engaging “Adda” concept. Responsibilities include supervising and training kitchen staff, managing food preparation and plating, overseeing inventory and ordering, and ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.



The Head Chef will collaborate with management on seasonal menus, cost control, and sourcing, while maintaining an productive, respectful, and secure work setting. This role also involves monitoring guest feedback, making continuous improvements, and supporting the growth of the brand across future locations.
Qualifications
Strong culinary skills in Indian and/or global comfort cuisine, with experience in menu design and recipe development.
Proven kitchen management abilities, including team leadership, training, scheduling, and performance oversight.
Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and best practices in a professional kitchen setting.
Experience with inventory management, cost control, vendor coordination, and waste reduction.
Ability to deliver consistent quality under pressure, maintain high service standards, and manage peak hours effectively.
