About The Role We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst specialized in Healthcare to join our team at Persistent Systems. This role is pivotal in analyzing large-scale healthcare datasets, developing data models, and supporting data integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in MS SQL, healthcare data modeling, and integration, along with a solid understanding of statistics.

Your primary responsibilities will include building scalable cloud infrastructure, automating system health checks, and guiding the team in best practices for data management and analytics. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with innovative technologies and contribute to impactful healthcare projects that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in US healthcare analytics, including working with benefits, claims, and eligibility data, is required. Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing healthcare datasets is essential.

Familiarity with modern data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake and MySQL, along with experience in creating healthcare process and data flow documentation using tools like Microsoft Visio or draw.io, is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving,



and data validation skills are necessary. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, translating complex healthcare data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities The Data Analyst will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks including healthcare data analysis and reporting, working with large datasets such as claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality data. You will write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze healthcare data from relational databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Supporting data validation, reconciliation, and transformation processes will be vital to meet business and regulatory reporting requirements.

In addition, you will work on healthcare data modeling and integration, collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure the reliable ingestion and integration of data from source systems like claims processing and provider systems. Supporting analytics initiatives related to value-based care, population health, and quality improvement will be a core aspect of your role. Creating process maps, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals using tools such as Microsoft Visio or draw.io will help document healthcare data workflows.

You will also be responsible for documenting healthcare business rules, data definitions, metrics logic, and reporting methodologies to promote standardization and clarity across projects. Stakeholder collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You will partner with Healthcare Operations, Finance, Clinical, Quality, and Compliance teams to understand reporting needs and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Presenting findings, trends,



and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams will be essential to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
