We’re Hiring: Cybersecurity Specialist | FinTech & Payments MoneyEU is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist / Information Security Engineer to strengthen the security of our growing payment technology infrastructure.

MoneyEU is building a modern payments infrastructure designed to connect merchants with multiple payment methods, acquiring partners, banking rails, and financial technology providers through a scalable technology platform Security, compliance, reliability, and intelligent payment infrastructure are central to what we are building.

MoneyEU operates within the global FinTech and payments ecosystem, supporting solutions across card acquiring, payment orchestration, alternative payment methods, Open Banking, SEPA, ACH, API integrations, and Banking-as-a-Service infrastructure As our technology ecosystem expands, cybersecurity is a critical part of our platform, and we are looking for someone who understands that security in payments goes far beyond traditional IT security. What You’ll Be Responsible For The successful candidate will work closely with our technology, compliance, risk, and operations teams to protect MoneyEU's infrastructure, applications, APIs, payment flows, and sensitive information.

Key responsibilities will include

- Conducting regular security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
- Monitoring infrastructure, applications, APIs, servers, and network environments for security vulnerabilities and suspicious activity
- Strengthening the security of our payment gateway and payment orchestration infrastructure
- Reviewing API security, authentication mechanisms, API keys, secrets, tokens, webhooks, and access controls
- Implementing and maintaining Web Application Firewalls (WAF), IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and security monitoring systems
- Identifying and mitigating threats including:



– Credential attacks – Account takeover – API abuse – DDoS attacks – Bot traffic – Malware – Data leakage – Unauthorized access – Application vulnerabilities – Merchant-side security risks
- Supporting secure configuration of cloud infrastructure, servers, databases, networks, and production environments.
- Implementing strong Identity and Access Management (IAM), MFA, RBAC, privileged-access controls, and least-privilege policies
- Performing secure-code and application-security reviews alongside the development team
- Supporting PCI DSS security requirements and payment-industry security controls
- Managing vulnerability remediation and coordinating security patches with engineering teams
- Performing third-party and vendor security assessments
- Developing incident-response procedures and supporting investigation of cybersecurity incidents
- Maintaining security logs, evidence, incident records, risk registers, and remediation documentation
- Conducting periodic employee cybersecurity awareness and phishing-prevention training
- Supporting Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Backup, and Operational Resilience controls
- Continuously evaluating emerging cybersecurity threats affecting FinTech, payment processors, PSPs, merchants, APIs, and financial institutions Payments &inTech; Security

We are particularly interested in candidates who understand security within environments involving:





- Payment Gateways • PSPs / Acquirers • Card Processing • PCI DSS • 3DS / 3DS2 • Payment APIs • REST APIs & Webhooks • Tokenisation • Merchant Platforms • Open Banking • Banking APIs • Fraud & Transaction Monitoring • Cloud Infrastructure • High-volume transaction environments Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with approximately 5–8+ years of relevant cybersecurity / information-security experience, preferably within FinTech, Banking, Payments, PSPs, Payment Gateways, SaaS, or financial technology companies. Strong knowledge of areas such as:

- OWASP Top 10 • OWASP API Security Top 10 • PCI DSS • ISO 27001 • SOC 2 security principles • Network Security • Application Security • API Security • Cloud Security• Vulnerability Management • Penetration Testing • SIEM & Security Monitoring • Incident Response • IAM / PAM • Encryption & Key Management • Secure SDLC / DevSecOps

Experience with environments such as AWS, Azure, Cloudflare, Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, Git-based CI/CD environments, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and penetration-testing tools will be highly valued.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CCSP, ISO 27001, or equivalent are advantageous but practical experience and technical capability are more significant to us. Interested?
