About The Role This is a full-time, on-site Cybersecurity Associate role based in Chandigarh, India. As a Cybersecurity Associate at DATAWALL, you will work directly with startups and growing companies to strengthen their cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management programs. You'll support and lead portions of customer engagements spanning security assessments, compliance readiness, governance, risk management, security operations, and customer due diligence.

This role combines cybersecurity, consulting, and customer engagement. You'll work closely with senior consultants and vCISOs while taking ownership of assigned workstreams, customer deliverables, and implementation activities.

Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, GRC, compliance, risk management, or a related field.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and security best practices.

Working knowledge of network security, endpoint security, cloud security, and vulnerability management concepts.

Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or similar standards.

Experience with security assessments, policy development, compliance activities, or risk management programs.

Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing consulting environment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications such as Security+, CEH, ISO 27001 Foundation/Lead Implementer, ISC2 CC, SSCP,



or similar are an advantage.

Responsibilities Conduct cybersecurity assessments and gap assessments against frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, NIST CSF, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and DPDP.

Support customers through security and compliance readiness initiatives.

Develop, review, and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and documentation.

Perform risk assessments and assist customers in developing remediation plans.

Coordinate evidence collection and support internal and external audits.

Review security configurations across endpoints, cloud platforms, identity systems, and business applications.

Assist with vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and security best practices.

Participate in customer workshops, security reviews, and technical discussions.

Prepare reports, risk registers, executive summaries, and customer presentations.

Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
