Role: Cyber Advisor

We're looking for an experienced Cyber Advisor with strong expertise in security consulting, architecture reviews, technology risk assessments, and enterprise cybersecurity. The ideal candidate should be capable of providing pragmatic security guidance across identity, network, cloud, data, endpoint, and application security while supporting BAU, KTLO, and unplanned technology initiatives.

- ✅ 10 + years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Consulting, Technology Risk, or Security Architecture.
- ✅ Strong knowledge across Identity, Network, Cloud, Data, Endpoint, and Application Security .
- ✅ Experience conducting security risk assessments and architecture reviews for BAU and unplanned initiatives.
- ✅ Strong understanding of Enterprise Security Architecture and Zero Trust principles .
- ✅ Ability to define pragmatic compensating controls and provide clear go/no-go security recommendations.
- ✅ Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate security risks and recommendations to executive stakeholders .
- ✅ Experience preparing decision papers, options analysis, risk assessments, and security recommendations .
- ✅ Familiarity with Essential Eight maturity uplift and audit remediation programmes .
- ✅ Experience supporting KTLO pipelines, project estimations, and resourcing forecasts .

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct rapid security risk assessments and architecture reviews for BAU,



KTLO, and unplanned technology initiatives.
- Assess proposed solutions against enterprise security architecture, Zero Trust principles, and regulatory requirements .
- Define pragmatic security controls, compensating controls, and risk mitigation strategies .
- Provide clear go/no-go recommendations based on security risk, business impact, and compliance requirements.
- Advise engineering and technology teams on security architecture, risk, and control requirements .
- Coach engineering squads, triage security escalations, and provide practical security guidance.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate complex security risks and trade-offs effectively.
- Prepare security decision papers, options analysis, risk assessments, and executive-level recommendations .
- Develop estimation models and resourcing forecasts to support existing and projected KTLO and unplanned project pipelines.
- Support Essential Eight maturity uplift initiatives and audit remediation programmes.
- Identify security gaps, dependencies, and risks and work with relevant stakeholders to drive timely remediation.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, risk, compliance,



and business teams to ensure secure delivery of technology initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Consulting, Technology Risk, or Security Architecture .
- Broad and deep understanding of Identity, Network, Cloud, Data, Endpoint, and Application Security .
- Strong experience in security risk assessments, architecture reviews, and technology risk management .
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust, enterprise security architecture, and security controls .
- Ability to assess risks and provide practical, business-focused security recommendations .
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and risk communication skills.
- Experience creating decision papers, options analysis, security assessments, and risk recommendations .
- Familiarity with Essential Eight maturity frameworks and audit remediation programmes .
- Robust analytical, consulting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and support multiple BAU, KTLO, and unplanned initiatives .
