Job Title: Freight & CFS Sales Consultant
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Freight & CFS Sales Consultant to generate business for our freight forwarding and Container Freight Station (CFS) services.
The candidate will regularly visit importers, exporters, manufacturers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, and other prospects. They will understand customers’ logistics requirements, recommend suitable solutions, negotiate rates, and close deals.
This is a field-sales position requiring robust industry knowledge, customer relationships, and the ability to achieve shipment, revenue, and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and approach prospective customers for freight forwarding and CFS services.
Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, market research, and field visits.
Regularly visit importers, exporters, manufacturers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies.
Meet business owners, logistics managers, purchase teams, and other decision-makers.
Understand customers’ import,



export, transportation, warehousing, and cargo-handling requirements.
Recommend appropriate sea freight, air freight, FCL, LCL, transportation, and CFS solutions.
Prepare and present quotations, rate proposals, service presentations, and commercial offers.
Negotiate freight rates, CFS charges, service conditions, and credit terms.
Follow up with prospects, resolve commercial queries, and close deals.
Generate regular shipment bookings and achieve monthly sales, volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and business partners.
Coordinate with pricing, operations, documentation, transportation, and customer-service teams.
Ensure smooth customer onboarding and service delivery.
Monitor market rates, competitor activities, and recent business prospects.
