Job Title: Purchase Engineer

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Reports to: Procurement Manager / Operations Head
Experience: 2–5 years (can be adjusted as needed)

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials.
Negotiate contracts and maintain healthy supplier relationships.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to understand material requirements.
Analyze vendor quotations and make cost-effective procurement decisions.
Monitor inventory levels and support just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems.
Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.




Track procurement KPIs and generate reports for management.
Continuously explore new vendors and cost-reduction prospects.
Ensure adherence to ISO/quality standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain in a manufacturing setting.
Robust negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office tools.
Knowledge of materials, technical specifications, and sourcing techniques.
