Commis Chef – Café

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our café kitchen team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about food, willing to learn, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist the chef and kitchen team with daily food preparation.
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, sauces, garnishes, and other kitchen items.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and food presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
- Assist with cooking and plating as directed by the senior chef.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Help with stock checking and inform the senior chef about low or required ingredients.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours.

Requirements
- Previous kitchen or café experience is preferred, but freshers with a strong interest in cooking are welcome.




- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Willingness to learn and take instructions.
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
