Softworker AI

India

SoftworkerAI is building a collaborative workspace where human teams and autonomous AI agents execute business work together-with shared context, permissions, approvals and governance.

We have built the prototype, are approximately 3-4 weeks away from shipping our MVP and have started design-partner outreach.

Product walkthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gzo7NnqYHsg

Meet the existing co-founder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g1O3BOea1o Our current founding team consists of two co-founders: one leading engineering and the other leading product. We are now looking for a Business & GTM Co-Founder and help turn SoftworkerAI into a category-defining company. Who We’re Looking For

You should

Have graduated in 2025 or in 2026(Engineering or Management degree preferable)

Be building or have previously built an AI company or product

Be ready to join full-time-not alongside a job, degree or another startup

Want to combine forces with a complementary founding team

Be capable of owning fundraising, customer discovery, GTM, sales, and partnerships

Be ambitious, resourceful, AI-literate and comfortable starting from zero

Important Before You Apply

This requires full time availability.

There will be no salary until the company raises funding.

The opportunity begins with sweat equity. Founder roles, equity and responsibilities will be discussed after mutual fit is established.

You must be willing to travel to Rourkela for two weeks, where Nishkarsh is currently studying, so that we can work together in person.

Travel and stay arrangements will be discussed with shortlisted candidates before the working sprint.

What You’ll Own

Fundraising and investor outreach

Customer discovery and design-partner outreach

Initial market selection and positioning

GTM, sales and partnerships

Translating customer feedback into product direction Interview Process ( 7 Rounds ) Round 1: Application and Video

Send us your CV, LinkedIn profile, professional/academic references and details of anything you have built.

Also share a short, free-form video that helps us understand you as a person. You may discuss your startup experience, ambitions, hobbies, unusual interests, lessons and failures. These are suggestions, not a checklist.

Upload the video to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, YouTube or a similar platform and send us the link.

Do not attach the video directly to the email. Our inbox has ambitions, but not unlimited storage.

If you already have a public video in which you presented, pitched or spoke about your work, you may share that instead.

Why: A résumé shows what you have done; the video introduces the human we may build a company with. Round 2: Written Take-Home Assignment

Shortlisted applicants will complete a written assessment covering values, ambition, decision-making, conflict, resilience, self-awareness, financial expectations and founder readiness.

Fair warning: this will be a long, essay-style assignment-not a five-minute multiple-choice form. Expect questions that require time and genuine reflection.

You may use AI to organise or improve your writing, but the experiences, opinions and reasoning must be yours. Please disclose how you used AI.

Why: Co-founders regularly make difficult decisions without obvious answers. We want to understand how you think, not how quickly you tick boxes. Round 3: Pitch-Deck Assignment

Using information available on our website and public materials, prepare a concise pitch deck for Softworker.

The deck should communicate your understanding of the product, customer, market, positioning and opportunity.

Why: The person owning business and GTM must be able to understand the company independently and turn that understanding into a compelling story. Round 4: Online Pitch and Culture-Fit Interview

You will pitch your deck to us in an online meeting.

The conversation will also explore your written responses from Round 2, including your values, working style, communication, resilience and approach to disagreement.

Why: We want to see how you communicate live, respond to questions and stand behind your written thinking. Healthy disagreement is welcome; daily existential warfare is less useful. Round 5: Founder-Alignment Conversation

We will have a transparent conversation about:

Company vision and ambition

Founder roles and responsibilities

Full-time commitment

Decision-making and conflict

Equity expectations The absence of salary until funding is raised

Personal and financial circumstances

Long-term expectations

Why: Misalignment does not disappear after incorporation. It usually just becomes more expensive. Round 6: Two Weeks Together in Rourkela

You must be willing to travel to Rourkela, where Nishkarsh is studying, and work with us in person for two weeks.

We will work on real priorities such as customer discovery, design-partner outreach, positioning, GTM and fundraising. Travel and stay arrangements will be discussed before the sprint.

Why: Founder compatibility cannot be determined through applications and interviews alone. We need to experience how we work, disagree, decide and execute together. Round 7: Mutual Founder Decision

After the two-week sprint, all sides will decide whether we want to build the company together.

If there is strong mutual alignment, we will agree on roles, equity, responsibilities and long-term commitments before formally moving forward.

Why This Unusual

Process?

We couldn’t find someone within our close circle who was both the right fit and ready to join us full-time. So, instead of forcing a convenient match, we are opening the search.

Choosing a co-founder from the internet is unusual. Choosing one after two coffee calls would be even more unusual.

That is why our process focuses on understanding how you think, communicate and work-not only what your résumé says.

We will take every complete application seriously. How to Apply

Email [email protected] with: Your CV and LinkedIn profile

Your video link

Your AI product, demo, website or repository

Your references: please include contact details for one or two references who know you well-such as a former co-founder, colleague, manager, client, investor, professor or academic mentor.

Confirmation that you are available full-time

Confirmation that you can spend two weeks with us in Rourkela This is not a conventional job application. It is our attempt to find a co-founder carefully, honestly and with enough real-world evidence to avoid relying on vibes alone.

Note: Applying through LinkedIn alone will not be considered a complete application.
