Job Responsibilities

- Set and operate CNC machines for manufacturing brass components as per drawings and specifications.

- Perform machine setting, tool setting, tool offset adjustment, and workpiece alignment.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.

- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.

- Set up jobs using collets, chucks, fixtures, and other work-holding devices.

- Conduct first-piece inspection and make necessary offset corrections.

- Monitor production quality and maintain required dimensional accuracy.

- Use measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, and height gauge.

- Identify and rectify basic machining, tooling, and setting problems.

- Replace worn tools/inserts and optimize tool life where required.

- Maintain production records, tool-setting records, and inspection reports.

- Follow safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and production schedules.





Required Skills

- Positive knowledge of CNC machine setting and operation.

- Experience in brass component machining preferred.

- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T; basics.

- Good knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds, and feeds.

- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field preferred.

- Relevant CNC machining experience will also be considered.
