About The Role HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect to join its dynamic team across India. This role is pivotal in driving solution design and engineering efforts to accelerate the adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at an enterprise level. The ideal candidate will lead opportunities involving cloud migration, modernization, data engineering, and AI-driven automation for Fortune 2000 clients.

You will collaborate closely with global sales teams and cross-functional technical architects to craft compelling go-to-market strategies, develop innovative solutions, and secure customer wins across various industries including banking, retail, healthcare, and telecommunications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex cloud projects, influence enterprise cloud strategies, and contribute to transformative digital initiatives. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and client engagement skills to deliver high-impact solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



or related fields. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of overall IT experience, with at least 2-3 years dedicated to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is essential. Candidates should demonstrate deep proficiency in GCP core services such as compute, storage, and networking, along with high-level expertise in data engineering using tools like BigQuery and Looker.

A foundational understanding of AI/ML platforms such as Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, as well as familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), is highly desirable.

Experience working with System Integrator (SI) partners, particularly GSI ecosystems, and a proven track record of collaborating on sales and revenue targets are important. Soft skills such as exceptional executive presence, effective whiteboarding, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities Collaborate with global sales teams and Google Cloud Architects to respond to RFIs/RFPs and proactively address customer requirements.

Develop ROI models and hyperscale funding strategies to optimize TCO for Google Cloud solutions.

Design industry-specific use cases for IT managed services, focusing on cloud adoption, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.

Lead technical workshops and create reference architectures for data center migration and modernization to Google Cloud.





Design and implement Google Cloud native applications and enterprise-grade data engineering stacks utilizing BigQuery, Looker, and Vertex AI.

Ideate and develop Gemini Enterprise Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions tailored to enterprise needs, enhancing IT managed services and cloud operations.

Work closely with GSI partners to build joint solutions, scale go-to-market strategies, and expand solution footprints within targeted industries.

Maintain a high level of industry domain understanding, particularly in BFSI, RCPG, Telecom, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and Technology sectors, to align solutions with industry-specific value streams.
