About The Role HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect to join our agile team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and engineering cloud solutions that facilitate the adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at an enterprise level. Your expertise will enable Fortune 2000 clients to migrate, modernize, and optimize their IT infrastructure, leveraging advanced data engineering and AI-driven automation use cases.

You will collaborate closely with global sales teams, technical architects, and strategic partners to develop compelling go-to-market strategies, create innovative solution approaches, and secure customer wins across diverse industries such as banking, retail, healthcare, and telecom. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact projects, shape cloud transformation initiatives, and contribute to the growth of cloud adoption within large organizations.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background with a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.



You should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of overall IT experience, with at least 2-3 years dedicated to working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Technical proficiency in GCP compute, storage, and networking is essential, along with high-level expertise in data engineering, including enterprise data warehouses and business intelligence tools such as BigQuery and Looker.

A foundational understanding of AI/ML platforms, including Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI, as well as familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), is desirable. The candidate should have demonstrated experience working with global system integrator partners, especially in building joint solutions and scaling go-to-market strategies. Excellent soft skills, including executive presence, effective whiteboarding, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value, are crucial.

Certifications such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer are preferred.

Responsibilities Pre-Sales & Go-To-Market (GTM): Collaborate with global sales teams and Google Cloud Architects to respond to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and strategic objectives.

Develop ROI models and hyperscale funding strategies that demonstrate TCO benefits and drive cloud adoption.

Design industry-specific use cases for IT managed services, focusing on cloud migration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.

Architecture & Solutions Engineering Lead technical workshops to define and design reference architectures for data center migration and modernization projects on Google Cloud.

Create enterprise-grade data engineering solutions utilizing GCP native services like BigQuery, Looker, and Vertex AI.

Innovate and design AI solutions such as Gemini Enterprise Agentic AI and Generative AI (GenAI) to accelerate IT managed services, cloud operations, and engineering functions.

Partner Collaboration

Work closely with Google GSI partners to develop joint solutions, scale go-to-market efforts, and expand solution footprints.

Leverage industry domain expertise, particularly in BFSI, RCPG, telecom, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, or technology sectors, to map value stream use cases and tailor solutions accordingly.
