Role Description The Clothing Master at Auraroze is responsible for overseeing the technical and practical aspects of garment production, ensuring that patterns, fits, and finishes meet established standards. Day-to-day tasks include supervising cutting, stitching, and finishing processes, guiding tailors and production staff, and resolving technical issues related to garment construction. The role involves checking samples, approving sizes and fits, and coordinating closely with the design and quality teams to maintain consistency and efficiency in production.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai,
requiring regular presence on the production floor and adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and fitting, with the ability to guide production teams on technical details.
- Hands-on experience in cutting, stitching, and finishing processes for a range of apparel types and fabrics.
- Proficiency in quality control practices, including inspecting samples, identifying defects, and implementing corrective measures.
- Ability to coordinate with design, merchandising, and production teams to translate design concepts into accurate, manufacturable garments.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to handle multiple production orders and meet deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to train and mentor junior staff in a respectful, inclusive manner.
- Prior experience in apparel manufacturing or tailoring in a supervisory or master role; experience with Mumbai-based production units is beneficial.
- Relevant vocational training, certification, or formal education in fashion technology, garment manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Expertise in indo western drapes.
