Role Purpose

We are looking for a senior Cloud Architect who can own cloud solutioning across the complete presales-to-delivery lifecycle. The role requires strong hands-on and architectural expertise in Microsoft Azure, Azure Landing Zone design, and Kubernetes-based cloud-native platforms.

The Cloud Architect will work closely with Sales, Presales, Delivery, DevOps, and Engineering teams to design scalable, secure, cost-optimized, and deliverable cloud solutions. This role is expected to bridge customer business requirements with practical technical architecture and ensure smooth transition from proposal stage to successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Presales and Solution Architecture

Act as the primary cloud solution owner during presales discussions and client engagements.

Understand client business challenges and translate them into scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions, primarily on Microsoft Azure.

Lead technical discussions, architecture workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and solution walkthroughs with client stakeholders such as CTOs, IT Heads, Enterprise Architects, and Engineering Leaders.

Prepare high-quality solution artifacts, including:

Cloud architecture diagrams

High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs

Azure Landing Zone architecture

Migration and modernization strategy

Cloud networking, security, and identity models

Kubernetes and container platform architecture

HA, DR, backup, and business continuity approach

Support RFP, RFI, technical proposals, solution write-ups, effort estimates, and technical bid responses.

Work with Sales and Practice teams to define scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, timelines, and delivery models.

Ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible, commercially aligned, and deliverable within agreed timelines.

Present and defend proposed solutions during customer demos, technical Q&A; sessions, and proposal reviews.

Delivery Architecture & ownership

Own architecture handover from presales to delivery teams, ensuring there are no scope, expectation, or requirement gaps.





Define and validate non-functional requirements, including security, scalability, availability, performance, monitoring, cost, disaster recovery, RPO, and RTO.

Provide architecture governance throughout delivery by reviewing detailed designs, implementation plans, and solution configurations.

Ensure delivery teams follow agreed architecture, Azure best practices, security standards, and enterprise governance requirements.

Mentor and guide DevOps engineers, cloud engineers, platform teams, and delivery teams during implementation.

Act as a subject matter expert to resolve technical challenges related to:

Azure Landing Zone

Azure networking and security

Kubernetes / AKS architecture

Identity and access management

Cloud governance and policy

High availability and disaster recovery

Cost optimization and scalability

Infrastructure as Code

Participate in architecture reviews, design sign-offs, deployment readiness reviews, and implementation assessments.

Cloud platform and best practices

Design and implement Azure Landing Zones using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

Design secure and scalable Azure network architectures including Hub-Spoke, Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute/VPN, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and Zero Trust principles.

Design and guide Kubernetes-based solutions, preferably using Azure Kubernetes Service, including cluster design, networking, security, monitoring, scalability, and deployment practices.

Define cloud governance standards using Azure Policy, Management Groups, RBAC, tagging, monitoring, logging, and cost controls.

Design HA, DR, backup, and business continuity strategies for enterprise cloud workloads.

Drive cloud cost optimization using FinOps principles, performance tuning, and right-sizing practices.

Ensure cloud solutions comply with security, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards.

Stay updated with Azure cloud services, Kubernetes ecosystem,



cloud-native architecture patterns, and industry best practices.

Practice and capability building

Contribute to cloud accelerators, reusable templates, reference architectures, solution frameworks, and internal IP.

Support cloud practice development by mentoring architects, senior engineers, and delivery teams.

Participate in solution review boards, presales readiness discussions, and internal architecture forums.

Help improve proposal quality, delivery predictability, and cloud implementation standards.

Mandatory skills Strong hands-on and architectural experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud.

Mandatory experience in designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones.

Mandatory experience with Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service.

Robust understanding of Azure networking, security, identity, governance, and monitoring.

Experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

Experience in cloud migration, modernization, and cloud-native application architecture.

Strong knowledge of HA, DR, backup, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.

Experience in presales solutioning, RFP/RFI responses, proposal support, and client-facing technical discussions.

Ability to create architecture diagrams, HLDs, LLDs, solution documents, and technical presentations.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior customer stakeholders.

Preferred skills

Exposure to AWS or GCP will be an added advantage.

Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Knowledge of container security, service mesh, observability, and microservices architecture.

Relevant Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer, or Kubernetes certifications will be preferred.

Required experience

10+ years of overall IT experience with strong cloud architecture and delivery background.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud architecture and implementation.

Proven experience in presales solutioning and delivery architecture ownership.

Prior experience working with enterprise customers, cloud migration programs, landing zone implementation, and Kubernetes-based deployments.
