About CoachbaseCoachbase is building an AI-powered health and fitness coaching platform focused on helping people improve their health through personalized training, nutrition, behavior change and continuous coaching.
We are now building a medically supervised GLP-1 and metabolic health program and are looking for our first clinical partners.
This is an opportunity to work closely with the founding team and help build the clinical layer of the product from the ground up.
The roleAs a Clinical Partner, you will be responsible for the medical side of patient care. You will work with patients remotely, assess their suitability for medical weight management, make independent clinical decisions and provide appropriate medical follow-up.
You will work alongside Coachbase's technology and coaching system, which handles patient intake, longitudinal tracking, nutrition, training, habits and day-to-day coaching.Your responsibilities• Conduct teleconsultations and review relevant patient history and investigations • Assess patients for suitability for medical weight management and GLP-1 therapy • Make independent clinical decisions based on your skilled judgment • Prescribe medication when clinically appropriate and permitted under applicable regulations • Manage dose adjustments and treatment follow-ups • Monitor and manage potential adverse effects • Identify contraindications, red flags and patients requiring further evaluation • Escalate or refer complex cases when clinically appropriate • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and follow-up records • Help develop and improve clinical protocols,
safety pathways and physician workflows as the program grows • Collaborate with the Coachbase team to improve the intersection between clinical care and technology
What you will not be responsible for• Patient acquisition or sales • Selling or promoting a particular medication • Pharmacy operations or medicine fulfillment • Workout programming • Day-to-day nutrition coaching • Customer support or operational tasks outside the clinical scope
What we are looking forWe are particularly interested in:
- Endocrinologists • MD/DNB General Medicine physicians • Physicians with experience in obesity medicine, diabetes or metabolic health • Experienced MBBS physicians with relevant clinical experience
Preferred experience• Experience managing patients with obesity, diabetes, prediabetes or metabolic conditions • Familiarity with GLP-1 therapies and their clinical use • Experience with telemedicine or remote consultations • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication • Comfortable working in an early-stage, technology-driven environment
How we workThis is a clinical partnership / contract role,
not a conventional full-time employment position. The initial engagement is designed to be flexible and consultation-based.
Compensation will be based on clinical work performed and will be discussed based on qualification, experience, clinical responsibility and availability.
We are intentionally structuring the relationship around clinical services rather than prescription volume or medication sales. There are no prescription or sales targets. We are initially looking for a small number of physicians who want to be closely involved in building the clinical model rather than simply joining an established telemedicine operation.
Why join at this stageYou will have the opportunity to:
- Work directly with the founder.
- Help design the clinical workflows of a new health-tech product • Shape clinical safety and escalation protocols • Help define how physicians and AI-powered coaching should work together • Build a scalable model for continuous metabolic health support
Coachbase's existing platform includes longitudinal patient context, specialized health and fitness agents, medical safety protocols, contraindication logic, red-flag detection and structured health data. The technology is designed to support the physician — not replace clinical judgment.
ImportantClinical decisions, diagnosis, prescribing, medication management and patient safety remain under the independent professional judgment and responsibility of the treating physician.
All clinical workflows will be designed to comply with applicable Indian medical, telemedicine, prescription and pharmacy regulations.
