Company Description TWIN (Textile Waste Innovation Network) is a social enterprise focused on circular textile solutions through structured waste collection, segregation, and recovery models. The organization works with corporates, institutions, and CSR partners to convert textile waste into environmental and social value.

TWIN builds effective systems and traceable processes that enable circular pathways across reuse, upcycling, and recycling. As part of its inclusive approach, TWIN engages Waghari communities in textile waste handling and sorting, supporting skill-based livelihoods. Through these initiatives, TWIN contributes to strengthening India’s circular textile ecosystem and promoting sustainable resource use.

About the Internship

We are looking for a proactive and motivated intern who wants to work closely with the founder and gain practical experience in circular economy, textile waste management, business development, lead generation, and startup operations .

This is not a desk-only internship. You will be involved in building TWIN's textile acquisition network across Mumbai and helping us identify and onboard societies and B2B organizations for regular textile collection.

What You Will Work On

1. Society & B2B Textile Acquisition

- Identify housing societies, corporates, institutions, hotels, and other potential textile-waste sources across Mumbai.
- Build and maintain a database of potential partners.
- Contact societies and B2B organizations through calls, WhatsApp, email, and LinkedIn.
- Explain TWIN's textile collection model and explore partnership opportunities.




- Follow up with interested leads and support onboarding.
- Help develop a repeatable process for acquiring textile from societies and organizations.

2. Calling & Lead Follow-up

- Make calls to potential collection partners.
- Follow up with leads and maintain the lead pipeline.
- Track conversations, responses, and next actions.
- Identify which areas and segments of Mumbai have the highest potential for textile acquisition.

3. Vendor & Partner Discovery

- Find potential vendors, recyclers, upcycling partners, processors, and other ecosystem partners.
- Research and compare potential vendors based on their capabilities and requirements.
- Support initial communication and maintain a vendor/partner database.

4. Upcycling & Product Research

- Research practical opportunities for upcycling collected textile waste.
- Identify products that can be developed from different types of textile waste.
- Research existing products, pricing, demand, and potential markets.
- Support TWIN in identifying suitable upcycling opportunities and partners.

5. Mumbai Textile Acquisition Blueprint You will also contribute to building a practical blueprint for textile acquisition in Mumbai, covering:

- Priority areas and Mumbai clusters
- Society acquisition strategy




- B2B acquisition strategy
- Lead generation sources
- Calling and outreach process
- Follow-up system
- Potential collection partners
- Vendor and recycling ecosystem mapping
- Area-wise lead database
- Recommendations to increase regular textile inflow

You will work directly with the founder and get hands-on exposure to building a circular textile business from the ground up.
