Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Mumbai, specializing in Direct Tax with 4–8 years of experience. The professional will handle direct tax litigation, including drafting submissions, coordinating with legal counsel, attending hearings, and managing case documentation.

Day-to-day responsibilities include tax advisory for clients, interpretation of tax laws and judicial precedents, and providing structuring advice for transactions in line with regulatory requirements. The role involves overseeing direct tax compliance, reviewing tax returns and tax provisions, and ensuring timely filings and responses to tax authorities.



The individual will also collaborate with internal finance teams and external stakeholders, prepare and review financial information related to tax, and contribute to process improvements and best practices in tax and accounting.

Qualifications

- Solid expertise in Tax, with strong knowledge of direct tax laws, litigation processes, and advisory practices.
- Demonstrated experience in Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation, including returns, assessments, and regulatory filings.
- Ability to interpret and analyze Financial Statements for tax planning, reporting, and litigation support.
- Strong Accounting foundation, including understanding of Indian accounting standards and tax-related accounting entries.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 4–8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in direct tax.
- Experience in handling tax litigation at various levels (assessment, appellate authorities) and coordinating with advisors and counsels.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and research skills, with attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.
- Robust communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.
- Proficiency in MS Office and tax/compliance software; prior experience in consulting or mid/large corporate environments is an advantage.
