Position: Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer

Type: Contract

Compensation: $35 - $55/hour

Location: Remote - Candidates from India preferred

Commitment: 10-39 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

- Analyze and post-process CFD results that reflect real engineering workflows in domains like external aerodynamics, turbomachinery, heat transfer & electronics cooling, combustion & reacting flows, and multiphase & marine hydrodynamics.
- Use scientific visualization and post-processing tools to interrogate flow fields — extracting slices, isosurfaces, streamlines, vortex structures, and integrated quantities from large unstructured datasets.
- Translate open-ended fluid dynamics problems into self-contained tasks with reference solutions.
- Review work produced by other engineers by giving technical feedback.

Requirements

- Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Marine, or similar) or a related technical discipline.




- Have experience with at least one CFD post-processing and visualization tool like ParaView, Ansys EnSight, Tecplot 360, FieldView, or VisIt.
- Have hands-on experience running CFD simulations in a solver such as OpenFOAM, Ansys Fluent, Siemens STAR-CCM+, or SU2.
- Have a working understanding of CFD fundamentals — turbulence modeling, mesh quality, boundary conditions, and convergence and grid-independence assessment.
- Possess robust English communication skills, with a focus on written proficiency.
