The Business Manager oversees daily operations for a Mainland Safety Training company, ensuring training programs run smoothly, instructors are scheduled effectively, compliance standards are met, and clients receive consistent, high‑quality service. This role requires a seasoned operator with at least 5 years of proven experience managing workflows in a regulated or training‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily Operations Management — Oversee all training center activities, ensuring classes start on time and facilities are prepared.
- Instructor Scheduling — Build and maintain weekly/monthly instructor schedules across multiple safety courses.
- Client Coordination — Manage bookings, confirmations, cancellations, and client communication.
- Regulatory Compliance — Ensure all training programs meet WorkSafeBC and industry standards.
- Process Improvement — Identify inefficiencies and implement better systems for registration, reporting, and class flow.
- Financial Oversight — Track budgets, expenses, payroll hours, and monthly operational costs.




- Team Leadership — Supervise administrative staff, instructors, and support personnel.
- Vendor & Facility Management — Coordinate with suppliers for training materials, PPE, and facility needs.
- Reporting & KPIs — Produce weekly and monthly performance reports (attendance, revenue, instructor utilization, client satisfaction).

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, training center management, or safety‑related industries
- Strong understanding of safety training operations and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage scheduling, logistics, and multi‑department workflows
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with CRM systems, booking platforms, and office software
- Familiarity with WorkSafeBC or similar regulatory bodies (preferred)
