Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Officer.

The Business Development

Officer will identify, evaluate, and pursue new partnership and funding opportunities aligned with BEF’s mission.

Responsibilities include researching potential stakeholders, developing proposals, and managing outreach to foundations, corporates, government bodies, and other collaborators. The role involves nurturing relationships with partners, responding to inquiries, and ensuring a high standard of stakeholder experience and service.

The Business Development

Officer will also analyze market and sector trends,



prepare reports and presentations, and work closely with internal teams to support summits, programs, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong New Business Development skills, including lead generation, chance assessment, and partnership building.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and a basic understanding of Finance to evaluate opportunities, budgets, and impact metrics.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
- Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills to manage stakeholder relationships and ensure professional, timely responses.
- Relevant experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, or stakeholder management, preferably in non-profit, policy, or development sectors.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field; a graduate degree is an advantage.
- Familiarity with India’s economic development landscape and interest in mission-driven, impact-oriented work is highly beneficial.
