About Kalpvriksh Global

Kalpvriksh Global is into wealth solutions spanning mutual funds, PMS and AIFs across India and global markets. We serve HNI families across India and overseas. We are AMFI registered and our work covers mutual fund distribution, financial planning, portfolio construction and tax advisory.

The practice was founded by a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Wealth Manager with 23 years in corporate finance, most recently as Finance Director at Unilever across India and the Middle East.

We are deliberately small. Every client is known by name, and we aim to build everlasting relationships with our clients. Clients come to us for protecting and building wealth across generations, and the entire practice is set up around that.

About the role

This is the first Business Development hire at Kalpvriksh Global. You will own how the practice grows: finding the right clients, getting our thinking in front of the people who should hear it, and building the systems that let all of it scale.

Because this is an early hire at a growing firm, the role is broad by design. You will not be handed a lead list and a script. You will be given ownership, direct access to the founder, and a real say in how the next stage of this practice gets built. The role will keep evolving as the firm does.

Key responsibilities

Client acquisition

Identify and engage prospective clients across professionals, business families and NRIs whose approach to wealth fits the practice

Build a pipeline through referrals, skilled networks, digital channels and community engagement rather than cold outreach

Run discovery conversations, understand client goals and present the practice credibly

Stay with each new client through onboarding and their first 90 days,

then transition the relationship to the founder

Community, content and reach

Plan and run investor webinars, including sessions with fund house CIOs and industry speakers

Contribute to LinkedIn content, client communication and the WhatsApp investor community

Support financial literacy and community initiatives, including sessions on women and financial independence

Track what works, and build reach systematically rather than by instinct

Operations and client experience

Oversee client onboarding, KYC and documentation end to end

Own CRM hygiene, pipeline tracking and reporting

Coordinate with operations team on transaction and servicing matters

Ensure client reporting and reviews go out on schedule

Technology and tools

This runs across everything above and is a real requirement.

Maintain and improve the CRM without being asked to

Build and run digital assets independently: landing pages, email sequences, WhatsApp community flows, webinar setups

Use AI tools in daily work to move faster on research, drafting and analysis

Identify where a process should be automated and then automate it

Requirements

2 to 6 years of experience in mutual fund distribution, wealth management, private banking or financial planning

NISM Series V-A certification. This is mandatory to advise clients under our ARN.

Candidates who do not hold it must clear it before joining

Demonstrated experience acquiring clients directly, rather than servicing an assigned book

Strong written communication. Most collaboration in a remote role happens in writing

Practical fluency with CRM systems, digital marketing tools and AI tools

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred

Experience working with NRI clients or cross border investment structures

Experience running webinars, events or investor communities

Familiarity with distribution platforms such as NJ Wealth

Who does well here

You are comfortable building something from a standing start rather than working inside an existing machine.

You can sit with a business owner in his fifties and have a real conversation about his portfolio, without reaching for a brochure.

You are as interested in whether a client is still with us in year four as you are in whether they signed this month.

You take the unglamorous parts of the job seriously, because clean documentation and reports that go out on time are a large part of why clients stay.

This role will not suit someone who needs leads handed to them, someone who works best with a manager in the room, or someone used to selling whatever pays best in a given quarter.

What we offer

Fixed salary plus a performance linked variable tied to the book you build and retain

Fully remote. Work from anywhere in India

Direct working relationship with the founder, with no layers in between

Genuine influence over how the practice is built at an early stage

Exposure to cross border and NRI wealth work that is difficult to access at this career stage
