Role Description The Bengali Faculty role at CHESTA is a remote teaching position responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Bengali language and literature, with a focus on Civil Services Exam requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, creating digital learning materials, conducting live online classes, and recording sessions as needed for later access. The faculty member will clarify concepts, solve students’ doubts, provide exam-focused tips, and guide learners on answer-writing and language proficiency.
Additional responsibilities include evaluating assignments, providing constructive feedback, participating in curriculum planning,
and collaborating with the academic team to improve content and teaching methods. The role also involves engaging with learners through discussion forums or doubt-clearing sessions to maintain strong academic support.
Qualifications
Robust proficiency in Bengali language and literature, with excellent command over grammar, vocabulary, and formal writing style.
Demonstrated knowledge of Civil Services Exam patterns and syllabus, especially sections related to Bengali language, literature, and essay writing.
Experience in teaching or mentoring students, preferably for competitive exams, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and systematically.
Comfort with online teaching tools, digital content creation, and basic computer skills for managing classes, materials, and student interactions.
Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work with learners from diverse backgrounds in a gender-neutral and inclusive manner.
Organizational skills to plan courses, meet schedules, and maintain consistency in lesson delivery and student evaluation.
Master’sdegree in Bengali; prior experience with Civil Services preparation or coaching is an added advantage.
