Best Speech & Conversation Analytics Company at CX & DCX Summits About the Role We are looking for a Backend Intern who is excited about building scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems for AI-powered products.

You will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to build APIs, backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power Convin’s conversation intelligence, AI voicebots, chatbots, and automation products.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and wants hands-on experience building production-grade backend systems in a fast-paced startup environment. What You’ll Do Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs for Convin’s AI-powered products.

Work with engineers to design, implement, test, and deploy backend features.

Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.

Work with databases to store, query, and manage application data.





Assist in building integrations with internal and external services.

Work on data processing and backend workflows supporting voicebots, chatbots, and conversation intelligence.

Debug issues, identify root causes, and contribute to improving system reliability.

Write unit tests and participate in code reviews.

Monitor backend services and help troubleshoot performance or production issues.

Collaborate with frontend, AI/ML, product, and engineering teams to deliver features.

Assist in improving API performance, system scalability, and application reliability.

Maintain technical documentation for APIs, services, and processes.

Learn and contribute to engineering best practices, development workflows, and deployment processes.

Required Skills Final-year college students or candidates with up to ~1 year of professional/internship experience in software development.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong programming fundamentals and understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.

Proficiency in Golang, Python, or another backend programming language.

Basic understanding of REST APIs and backend development.

Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.

Understanding of Git and version control.

Basic knowledge of software development and debugging practices.





Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Willingness to learn recent technologies and work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Comfortable working from our Bengaluru office. Good to Have Experience with Golang, FastAPI, Django.

Exposure to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

Basic understanding of Docker and containerization.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

Understanding of asynchronous programming and distributed systems.

Experience building APIs or backend projects as part of academic/personal projects.

Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, Voicebots, Chatbots, or Generative AI applications.

Familiarity with message queues or event-driven architectures.
