We are hiring backend engineers (SDE 2 / SDE 3) with strong fundamentals in backend development, system design, and scalable architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Go (preferred) or Python, strong low-level design (LLD) and high-level design (HLD) capabilities, and prior exposure to high-scale B2B SaaS environments. You will work closely with product, platform, and engineering teams to design and develop reliable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems powering SwishX products.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices.
- Build robust REST/gRPC APIs and distributed services.
- Participate in architecture discussions, HLDs, and LLDs for new product initiatives.
- Optimise backend performance, reliability, scalability, and observability.
- Work on database design, caching strategies, asynchronous systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-quality code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, frontend, DevOps, and QA.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system stability.

Requirements

- 3-6 years of software engineering experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) preferred; strong Python backend experience is also acceptable.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Strong expertise in low-level design (LLD) and high-level design (HLD).
- Experience building scalable distributed systems and microservices.




- Strong understanding of REST APIs / gRPC, multithreading and concurrency, database design, and caching systems.
- Messaging queues/event-driven systems.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background

- Prior experience working in B2B SaaS companies.
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
- Exposure to high-scale backend systems.
- Candidates from solid product-based companies are preferred.
- Experience with observability tools, distributed tracing, and monitoring systems is a plus.
