Role: Associate Staff Packaging Engineer

We strive to enhance productivity through seamless device management, proactive support, and continuous innovation, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for every employee.” Role Summary: You will be responsible for packaging, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications across our global endpoint estate using Microsoft Intune, industry standard packaging frameworks, and modern automation practices. You will work closely with engineering teams, support teams, and cross-platform specialists to ensure high-quality, secure, and reliable application delivery.
Responsibilities: Application Packaging & Deployment:
Package applications using industry-standard tooling (e.g., Flexera Admi Studio, PSADT) and convert installers (EXE MSI/MSIX). Build,
test and maintain Intune Win32 application packages, including detection logic, requirement rules and deployment settings. Create and maintain installation, configuration, and upgrade scripts (PowerShell, PSADT).
Collaborate with SMEs and application owners to validate requirements, ensure compatibility, and meet security and performance standards. Troubleshoot packaging, installation, and deployment issues across Windows and macOS endpoints. Maintain documentation, templates, and repeatable processes for packaging workflows.
Operational
Delivery
Support application deployments in alignment with Microsoft Intune configuration and update management frameworks Windows, macOS via Microsoft Intune. Deliver services aligned to SLAs, including incident resolution, service request fulfilment, release/change activities, metrics reporting, and continuous improvement. Use digital experience analytics (e.g., Nexthink) to proactively detect issues, identify impact, priorities remediation, and validate deployment success.
Your Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience with enterprise desktop management and Microsoft Intune configurations/support. The role requires robust troubleshooting capability across endpoint services and toolset integrations, with a strong working knowledge of Windows 11.
Experience supporting macOS and mobile platforms, and using endpoint experience/analytics tools such as Nexthink, would be an advantage.
Specific requirements: Strong experience in enterprise application packaging using tools such as Flexera Admi Studio. Hands-on experience packaging for Intune (Win32 apps), MSI/MSIX, MST transforms and custom scripting. Proficiency in PowerShell, including packaging and testing automation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with PSADT for enterprise grade deployment logic.
Experience testing and configuring deployment of packages using Intune. Create installation scripts and configure deployment settings to ensure successful and consistent installations across multiple platforms. Solid understanding of Windows 11 architecture, file/registry structures, and app lifecycle behaviours.
Excellent troubleshooting skills across packaging, deployment, and end-user support scenarios. Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills - address meetings and present designs to stakeholders, interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, delivering solutions end-to-end with minimal direction.
Work closely with IT teams to troubleshoot issues related to application packaging and deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that packaged applications are compatible with target systems. Ensure that all packaged applications meet the organization's security, performance, and reliability requirements.
Collaborate with Security and vulnerability management on keeping applications up-to-date and secure. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to application packaging and deployment Beneficial skills: Experience working in global, enterprise-scale environments. Nexthink (or similar digital employee experience tooling) for analytics, remediation validation and reporting Automation and scripting skills (PowerShell) including remediation and operational tooling Azure DevOps (Repos, pull requests, pipelines) or similar DevOps tooling used to manage endpoint artifacts as code AI-enabled tooling (e.g., Copilot) to accelerate engineering workflows while adhering to security and governance Experience supporting macOS packaging.

Nature of work: The Packaging Engineer is responsible for the end to end engineering, operational delivery, and continuous improvement of application packaging and deployment services. This includes assessing packaging requirements, creating and validating Win32/MSI/MSIX packages, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility across Windows and macOS endpoints. They work closely with application owners, Intune engineers, Security, and regional support teams to maintain a consistent and predictable packaging pipeline.
The engineer troubleshoots complex deployment issues, leverages analytics platforms such as Nexthink for proactive remediation, and contributes to automation and DevOps practices (e.g., PowerShell, Azure DevOps pipelines) to improve efficiency and reliability. They provide expert technical guidance on packaging standards, deployment readiness, vulnerability remediation, and compliance, ensuring robust, repeatable, and enterprise-grade application delivery across the organization.
