What You Will Do The Specialist, GSP, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) will report to a Manager, GSP, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and is responsible for executing vendor risk control assessments in accordance with the Policy, Standards and SOPs, with primary responsibility for supporting Prudential's Japan operations and vendor risk assessment activities across Japan businesses. The Specialist will be charged with executing thorough vendor control assessments utilizing responses from the vendor and matching with expected control criteria set but the risk control domains. Vendor control responses within the IT Security, Privacy, Compliance, Financial, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption among others will be in scope for the Specialists review.

The Specialist will be challenged to complete the control assessment completely, thoroughly and autonomously according to the documented standard operating procedures (SOPs). When applicable the Specialist will be responsible for communicating with the vendor, the PFI vendor engagement manager,



the PFI risk domain partner along with other colleagues within GSP. The candidate for this role should be willing and able to continuously identify and communicate process optimization opportunities that would strengthen or make the existing process more efficient.

The Specialist will need to have a full understanding of the vendor control assessment process and its criticality to the business. The Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring all vendors supporting Prudential Japan are appropriately assessed, gaps identified if applicable and mitigating issues raised to ensure protection of PFI, our customers and our stakeholders. The position plays a key role in strengthening the company’s global governance model as it relates to vendor risk mitigation. ________________________________________ What You Can Expect Execute vendor control assessments for both new and existing vendors that primarily support Prudential's Japan operations in accordance with enterprise policies, standards, and SOPs.

Effective process, review and challenge evidence of vendor controls across multiple risk domains including but not limited to: IT Security, Cyber, Privacy, Compliance, Anti-Bribery, Financial and Operational. Communicate and collaborate with vendor contacts, Japan Procurement, Japan TPRM/Vendor Governance stakeholders, vendor engagement managers, and enterprise risk domain partners to ensure thorough and accurate vendor risk assessments are completed.

Review and analyze vendor documentation, control evidence, and supporting materials for vendors supporting Japan business operations and escalate findings, risks, and control gaps as appropriate.

Represent subject matter expert on vendor control assessments including control acceptance criteria, assessment workflow, escalation procedures, issue creation and issue mitigation. Support the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of TPRM policies, standards, and SOPs. Execute ongoing monitoring activities for vendor engagements supporting Japan operations and document findings, risks,



and improvement opportunities in accordance with enterprise policies, standards, and SOPs.

Collaborate with Japan Procurement, Japan TPRM/Vendor Governance, and global resources across U.S., Asia, EMEA, and Latin America operations to ensure consistent execution of vendor control assessments aligned to enterprise standards.

What You Will Bring Bachelor’s degree required. 2–5 years of experience in Procurement, Third-Party Risk Management, Risk & Controls, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, or related fields. Strong verbal communication skills with ability to interact with PFI associates across functions and vendor contacts outside of PFI Ability to collaborate across global, matrixed environments. Proficiency in Excel or reporting tools preferred.

Experience with TPRM / GSP software tools such as Process Unity, ZIP, Open Pages, Archer, Fusion, Conga or others preferred. Fluent in AI-enabled environments, using approved tools responsibly to improve throughput, accuracy, and insight while adhering to the company’s risk and governance standards. At a minimum, all GSP employees should be able to leverage AI tools to draft, extract, validate, and optimize content that is applicable to their respective function and utilize AI tools to consistently create new content, innovation, and idea generation.

Experience supporting vendor risk activities across multiple geographies, Asia-based stakeholders, or regulated financial services organizations preferred. Fluent in Japanese, with the ability to speak, read, and interpret business, risk, and vendor documentation in Japanese.

Ability to work effectively across time zones and partner with Japan-based stakeholders, PFI India leadership, enterprise risk domain teams, and vendor contacts. What will set you apart?
