Role Description The Associate Consultant Cardiology role at Manipal Hospitals, Mysore is a full-time, on-site position focused on delivering high-quality cardiovascular care. The role involves assessing and managing patients with cardiac conditions, conducting clinical evaluations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and participating in treatment planning under the guidance of senior cardiologists.
The Associate
Consultant will collaborate with physicians from other specialties, contribute to emergency cardiac care, and support inpatient and outpatient services.
Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards,
participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to training and knowledge-sharing activities within the team.
Qualifications Strong foundation in Medicine and clinical practice, with the ability to manage a broad range of medical conditions.
Specialized skills and experience in Cardiology, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and use of relevant investigations.
Ability to work effectively with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
Exposure to Emergency Medicine or acute care settings, with competence in handling cardiac emergencies.
Experience in Training, mentoring, or participating in academic activities such as case discussions and CMEs.
Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with relevant postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine or Cardiology; appropriate medical council registration.
Strong clinical judgment, ethical practice, and commitment to evidence-based care.
Effective communication skills, empathy, and the ability to engage with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and participate in rotational duties, including on-call responsibilities.
